xilddx Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009
I did a bit of a mixture of the Atlanta version and the album version, in other words its the Atlanta version with a dropped D. I just thought it sounded nicer dropping to D. Its really nice to sing too.
Exactly what I do too. Beautiful song to sing, I agree. Cheers. Quote

EntropicLqd Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Smooth - By Santana. I recently bought the sheet music for the bass line because it was taking me ages and ages to work it out by ear from the CD. My objective for this year is to learn it off by heart. It would be a bonus to understand why it works (e.g. relate the notes back to the chords and see what's going on) but I'm prepared to settle for simply being able to play it. Quote

thepurpleblob Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 (edited) I was too lazy to read everybody else's suggestions so here's some that spring to mind (some are just weird).... * Beatles - just about anything * Hit me with your rhythm stick (assuming you are quite a bit better than me) * It's My Life (Talk Talk) * The Kaiser Cheifs - Ruby, Riot et al (honestly, some cool lines) * New Model Army - Island (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0Sl5hfcQDU). Lots of others too. * Radiohead - lots of stuff * Weekender - Flowered Up (lengthy!) Edited February 25, 2009 by thepurpleblob Quote
