Al Krow
Love to see what PGs you've got adorning your basses! And if you've had a custom job please share details of where you had them done.
AndyTravis
All of these bits have been done by @TimAl who trades as gig.ink He’s actually become a good mate - he’s a genius, if you’re after custom design stuff - absolutely fantastic.
AndyTravis
And I’ve used the Bass Doc a couple of times for more traditional pickguards. He did me a white pearl and a black BB pair. Edited April 8, 2020 by AndyTravis

Al Krow
@AndyTravis - that's one amazing collection of PGs! I've independently just come across Tim and was thinking of getting him do me a custom PG, so it's great to also get your recommendation of him. @Cat Burrito - gotta 'fess that I have a thing for white P-basses and that final pic grabbed my attention!

scrumpymike
Here's the bass that AndyJr recently made for me with its ebony-veneered plastic guard. SOOO subtle and perfect against the oiled black finish.

Not sure if they're the same spec as fitted to 6-string guitars but they work superbly well. AndyJr sourced them from Artec as a low-cost, look-alike equivalent to the SDs fitted as OE to the Fender Rascal bass. The SD's are over £300 a set and I think these were around £60. If I back-to-back with the Rascal Andy re-bodied for me (below), there's a slight difference in tonal quality but only I know that and it's close enough to make no difference. Sorry! Just realised I've posted a pic of an un-guarded bass on a topic about pick-guards 🤔 Edited April 9, 2020 by scrumpymike
Oopsdabassist
Another big Thumbs up for @TimAl he's done a couple for me now, the SUB just a couple of weeks back. Lovely chap, and very quick, even given the current climate,.
