Looking a bass amp

know very little about bass tone and dont have much money to spend on an amp at the moment. Could stretch £400 and its for the practice room and for small pub gigs.

Any advice?

I'm selling a Marshall 150W combo at the moment for £150. 7 band EQ, valve and solid state pre-amp, blendable together. Great for practive and small gigs.

You can get quite a lot in the sub £400 bracket - what bass do you play and what sort of music do you play?

I know alot of people will say find your own tone and all that but ive got a gig coming up soon and im just looking for something thats a decent amp (pub gigs etc). Ill upgrade around september to something I prefer the sound of.

Also play half step down if that makes any difference, probably doesnt
