My local music store - I played it for 5 minutes before they did a complete service on it and it's ....mmmm mmmm! (they won't take my Valenti in trade though :-( - say they don't know owt about Nino...)

Forgive my ignorance but if it is modeled on Duck's bass shouldn't it have a Rosewood/block neck? I'm no expert on Laklands or DD but it seems that is more akin to a Glaub bass!

ya know I thought it was a Glaub when I first cast my eyes on it... but they assured me it was a limited edition - I have questioned them on this.

I wonder what differentiates a pre-production DD from a BG then? It would make more sense if it [u]was[/u] a pre-production BG. ;)

Yup, basically a BG in the classic '57 two-tone P Bass trim. Dan did it as a homage to DD's early p bass he used in the MGs.
