I've waited for this model to be available, I've got a thing about the scroll headstock,

it now is, and I've ordered it.

right or wrong ? Anyone got one ?

It would be interesting to know how it turns out. I did consider one for similar reasons but ended up scoring a s/h Warwick Triumph instead.

I just saw Thomann discontued their old EUB500's and are now making these new ones that kind of resemble Stagg's and Aria's, I'm looking for a double bass for quiet practice at he moment, I'd be very interested to see what it's like and what it comes with.

Well it came in a box over 6 foot long, it's very black and very tall.

I'm not sure what I expected, but it is better.

Scroll head is superb.

I will begin learning to play it tomorrow.

Ooh, I missed this earlier, colour me interested. However, as @Teebs points out...

:useless:

Although, worthless seems harsh. 😁

Quick one taken in the dark , it arrived 'set up' for rockabilly, with an action higher than I've ever seen ( obviously needed) with a bow but no arrows !

Looks lovely. I've been looking at getting an electric upright as my double bass is a bit big for some situations, and looking at Youtube reviews this sounds a lot more double bass(ish) than some other well known makes at three to four times the price. Shame they don't do a 5 string version :(

Rather than start a new thread I'll add to this. Just to say I'm really liking the look of these, and like that they come with a bow.

£500 new is a bit steep for me to buy one on a whim, but I'll look out for s/h.
