Al Heeley Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 +3 some of the best (and most helpful) bass playing on Youtube. Great collection of instruments too Quote
Matt_UK Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Marlowe is excellent, hes suddenly been releasing hundreds of videos lately...straaange behaviour! Quote
YouMa Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Very talented man,hes danish isnt he? Must have a trip over these scandanavians have a very funky scene. Quote
Brother Jones Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I think he's a bit overrated tbh. There are much, much better bassists on YouTube. Also - his facepulling and 'funky guy' persona is getting a bit stupid tbh. Quote
saibuster Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I really really appreciate guys like him. I really dont care about the faces he pulls, he give FREE lessons and Im yet to find a hidden agenda behind it. Apart from the free stuff, i also found a lot of new music through his page. Pleasure, for example i never heard about them, now i got everything they ever made. To me he is some sort of a modern Funk portal. Quote
Dmanlamius Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Marlowe is a very good guy, and a brilliant bass player. I was lucky enough to get an interview with him at my blog, right here: http://mrlamius.blogspot.com/2008/11/my-in...wdk-thomas.html Quote
acidbass Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 He seems like a nice guy, very modest about his equipment. His videos are always a great watch too, the guy has buckets of talent! Quote

Huw Foster Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I've only discovered his channel recently, but his videos seem to be very informative. I don't mind the face pulling - at the least it's a visual element for entertainment's sake. He appears to be passionate about music and bass playing anyway. I was particularly impressed with his performance of a live Earth, Wind & Fire track I saw today. So yeah, in summary... I rate him. Quote
YouMa Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) I think the guy has an excellent ear (bastard) He seems to pick up stuff very quickly. Edited February 22, 2009 by YouMa Quote
