rasher80 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 My culinary equivalent of my bass playing would be rummaging in the whoops section of Asda at half eight on a Monday night! Quote
Nicko Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I'm mid range bistro. The sort of thing that anyone with practice and a little training can do, but far better than Joe Public does. My cooking on the other hand is much more accomplished. 2 Quote
Krysbass Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I aspire to being Michelin star but being towards the end of my 4th decade as a bassist perhaps I should be past the aspiring bit by now? Cooking is another passion of mine and I can put together some interesting things, but to do it I cut corners. Where I will often buy a ready made sauce rather than make one from scratch. Similarly with bass lines I will get most of the notes and the overall feel right rather than staying 100% faithful to the original song (recipe)😂 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 My playing is like the cafeteria at chernobyl: not great, not terrible 1 Quote
Bassman Sam Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I'm the late night p!ssed kebab. You enjoyed it at the time but can't remember why in the morning. 1 Quote
Crawford13 Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I think if I’m honest with myself I’m a burger van. If I’m all that’s around you will give me and chance and might get to like me, but like all burger van’s if you come back again it’s not for the food. Quote
clauster Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Definitely Pret-a-Manger. The image needed updating years ago. It's something anyone could do themselves. Overepriced and frequently leaves you wanting more. 1 Quote
