I recently got a yearning for one of these. I had one but sold it about 13 years ago.

My brother has recently become a massive brian may fan. He has a great Korg era ac30, the modern BM KAT treble booster and now he has a green Red Special.  He says it really is the sound.

I plug mine into a vox tonelab thing.  Use the treble boosted ac30 model. Works a treat

Hi. I have this....Fender Sixty Six made in Mehico.  Love it to bits. Neck pup is brilliant and bridge hum bucker too. Middle position doesn’t get much use on its own but tames the humbucker nicely if the amp has lots of treble.

One of Fender's better mashups - I like them.

Got rid of my electric a while back as never seemed to play it so for now this is my only one. Always loved the Harmony Buck Owens guitars but not the price they command these days so this was a bit of a no brainer for me. Pretty darn decent sounding and playable for something at the cheaper end of the spectrum. I like it a lot.

Loved my Wetsbury Standard, which I unfortunately was stupid enough to sell, the Yamaha Revstar gets pretty close though, and I will no doubt acquire one of those at some point.

Until then my cheap budget Epiphone SG Special, with the stock pickups replaced for an IronGear Dirty Torque in the bridge position and an IronGear Blues Engine in the neck position, that I named "Epicphoneya", is actually not too bad either:

These are mine, all bought from new in the years below. Had convinced myself that I had all I required (6 stringers only used for home playing and recording), but having put the pictures together I realised that I should really have a tele. Oh, and something with P90s. And some sort of semi-acoustic.....

Electrics:
1978 Westbury Standard Guitar (Black)
1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar (Cherry Sunburst)
2008 Jackson Pro Series DK2 Dinky Guitar (Eerie Dess Swirl)
2017 Strat Copy - Put together by me from parts (Cherry Sunburst)

Acoustics:
1998 Fender DG22S Acoustic Guitar (Natural)
2010 Ibanez G200EC-NT Classical Guitar (Natural)

Couple of lockdown projects to share, first I re-finished my hh Strat (this was actually my first guitar, not many original parts left after 27 years of idiot ownership) and I put together a partsmaster too. 👍

The only guitar I've had for years is one of these, a Thinline nylon-string semi-acoustic by Harley Benton (Thomann). I wanted something semi-acoustic, not too loud in person (though it's not exactly quiet), along the lines of the Gibson Chet Atkins CE for much less money. I don't think it spent one day in standard tuning, since I went all fourths straight away (EADGCF, a la Alex Hutchings), and it's now in my experimental major/minor chord tuning (G B D F# A C#). Anything to not be a busker, basically.

But I do have an eye open for a Cheap Telecaster ... maybe in Purple.

Despite owning an Ovation Custom Legend, I got one of these for my last birthday (becasue it was there). It is a Vintage Paul Brett Parlour Guitar that cost £99. It is a sweet little guitar and I enjoy playing it.

There is something about parlour guitars isn't there? I bought a Faith Mercury a year or two ago and it is a lovely little thing. It cost a bit more than yours to be fair, but it is probably my current favourite guitar, with a fullness of sound scarcely believable for such a small instrument.

I’ve recently started playing guitar a fair bit more (bless me father, for I have sinned) which spurred me onto a bundle of more upgrades for my Casino Coupé, the new Artec pickups sound fabulous and cost less than £30! It’s taken over from my Tele as my go to 6 string.

I cut my musician teeth so to speak as a guitarist so have a few, mostly tele’s & strats, Couple of acoustics (favourite being Godin 5th Avenue) but my go to six string weapon of choice is my late 80’s / early 90’s Epiphone SG!

A LOT of history between me and that guitar, all still completely original, more than it’s fair share of “battle scars” yet still wipes the floor with a lot of newer Gibson’s! THATS my beast!
