Changing impedence of a cab... Can it be done?

I have a Mark Bass 102HF 2x10 - 8ohm.

Is it possible to do a simple re-wire it for 4ohm?

(I have no idea about these things!)

No
It will have either 2 x 4 ohm drivers, which can be wired for 8ohms or 2 ohms.
or ----------- 2 x 16 ohm drivers, which can be wired for 8ohms or 32 ohms

From my perspective, a 4 ohm cab is not as versatile as an 8 ohm as it means you're not gonna be able to put an ext cab on should you ever need to unless your amp can run at 2 ohms & the cab is still gonna produce 103db when your amp is topping it (or whatever it may be).

Just thought I'd give you my findings from what I've learned here to see if it helps you any.
