BassBunny Posted April 20, 2020 Share Posted April 20, 2020 (edited) My trusty SA450 which has been my main amp for a good number of years has run out of a bit of steam. Unfortunately it's a bit poorly and is not delivering the full 500w. It's been to Gee Electronics, (twice), who were convinced they could fix it and they cleaned all the pots, jacks etc. and re-soldered a few dodgy joints. They were convinced it was back to full health but although definitely louder than when I sent it in, not the full beans. Probably about 250-300w in their estimation. It's in great cosmetic condition and apart from the low output, fully functioning. Ideal for home use, with an acoustic band or recording. If you have a tatty Class A/B Little Mark, whip the power amp section out and put it in here and it should be back to it's former glory. They use the same power amp section but the SA450 has the parametric mids. I've spent £90+ with Gee trying to get it sorted so just trying to claw a bit back.
