Anyone know who here has it or got any pictures of this bass??
Search for "Adam" in the Gear Porn forum on here, there's a couple of threads with pics and sound clips. Leowasright Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009
I sold one of his basses through The Gallery recently. It wasn't a Stingray though.
Was that the black Sabre I saw somewhere? Touched by under rated greatness.... Quote
SS73 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Geezer Butler Felix Papalardi John Paul Jones cos they're all dudes... Quote
waynepunkdude Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 A Fat Mike signature Danelectro? I think it would get a lot of Punk kids in. Quote
AndyTravis Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009
On a very enjoyable encounter with Norman Watt - Roy a few years back he told me that a Jazz signature for him was being considered, along with chunk missing where his thumb sits. To be honest in the long beer fuelled conversation I and a few others had with him about 4 minutes was spent talking about his bass gear. He was far to funny, interesting and charming to talk about thyat drivel.
Thats the prototype i'm looking at, a collaberation with the bass centre/bass collection and NWR! Quote
51m0n Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Tony Levin sig 3 string 'Ray for the "Funky Finger" thing Me, a super duper special Roscoe Century Sig 5'er with helium filled chambering (cos I'm so weak) and a concave back for me gut, and an ultra secret talent pot to make it sound like I can play a bit. Oh and strings that never get old.... Herbie Flowers Blue J bass (although that might actually happen soon, its 50 years since he bought it, it was a prototype), with tapewound strings. Leigh Gorman (cos I love the Bow Wow Wow stuff) though I've no idea what make it would be Quote
Dread Bass Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I would go with Steve Digiorgio from death/sadus etc. A five string fretless ESP with a high C. Quote
Mowac Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009
Rickenbacker 4001. Now changing hands for stupid money as they're discontinued.
Yamaha should have came out with a Paul McCartneyy BB sig for the one he played in the '70's. Quote
hillbilly deluxe Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Me.And i should get them free. Quote
boabskiboab Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 A Mike Mills Precision would work for me, I love that butterscotch blonde look. What about a reverse necked P as played by the singer from the doves. Quote
MacDaddy Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Bobby Dall from Poison. Reason? He is bassist in a band who still sell out arenas and stadiums, and headline festivals worldwide. Isn't that the kind of exposure any manufacturer would want? Quote
