wildus
Hi, looking for a book on Arabic scale's & chord's for bass or any link's or info Can anyone help Cheers wildus
Mikey D
'The' Arabic scale is 1,b2,3,4,5,b6,7 so in C it is C Db E F G Ab B. When you say chords, do you mean chords you can use this scale over or the particular chords that an arabic musician might use? Check out this site when you can see the positioning for a lot of scales including the arabic scale: Scale and chord creater Also worth a look for chord progressions: Arabic guitar tabs/chords I just got back from the Sligo Jazz Project yesterday and was exposed to many a great scale by Dominique Dipiazza, I will put a few up on this site with a few licks and exercises when I get a chance.
