GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I've finally reached a happy number of basses. Down from 20 to 12. I thought I'd just take a break from essay writing to photo them all. First off from L to R Rickenbacker C64S 4001 Macca bass with reversed headstock and tuners. Next my CS4001 Chris Squire. Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Next up a pair of Yamahas TRB4P (MkI) and my BB1500A Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Half way with my 90 Thumb NT and Bass Collection Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Peavey T-40 and Fretless jazz with Badass II, Warmoth neck and ACG pre amp. Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Nearly there Warmoth/Darkstar/ACG pre and Spector Euro LX also ACG'd Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Finally the beast and the beauty. RKS 5 string and my Harlot ACG. It's amazing how writing an essay is sure to make you procrastinate. Quote
Stingray5 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Very nice collection, spanning quite a few years too. Nice to see the old Peavey. Might be a silly question, but what's your favourite? Or is it unfair to ask? (Bit like saying which of your children is your favourite!?). Quote
EdwardHimself Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 sorry if you were going for the record but well done on your effort. Nice basses too. Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 With good reason, the newest, the ACG is my 'perfect' bass. It fits me like it was made for me and it was. It just seems easier to play than anything else and sounds quite superb. I can honestly say they are all great basses. Peter Quote
niceguyhomer Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I think I've played 'em all haven't I Pedro? My two favourites are the Thumb and the ACG but that RKS is something special too. All you need now is a PRS and and another TRB and you'd have bass acronym hell Quote
4000 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Aaagh! Don't show me pictures of the CS! Mine's still for sale down the Bass Gallery and I don't need to see how cool they look! FWIW, love the ACG too, but in a different way.... Quote
Hamster Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Ummmm - I wouldn't mind a doodle with the Warmoth Quote
cetera Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Gorgeous collection, to cover all bas(s)es! Congrats Quote
Rayman Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I've also played most of them, and although the ACG is sex on a stick, my favourite was the red RKS, superb bass. The fretless jazz is nice too, and the Spector, and , well all of them really. Top quality collection Pete. Quote
silverfoxnik Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Great collection Peter and very diverse... The old Yamaha looks great in a retro way along with the T-40 and I really love the look of the Warmoth.. As already said, a Wal would round it off very nicely.. Quote
