NJE Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Apologies if this has already been posted, I did do a search and found nothing. Stevie Wonder at the whitehouse with the always superb Nate Watts on bass. Also some guest appearences including the amazing Esperanza Spalding. The link is also available at Sadowsky website. Enjoy: http://www.pbs.org/inperformanceatthewhitehouse/ Quote
chris_b Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Whoa..... Nate Watts in a DJ? And playing a Bossa instead of the AC. Great program. Quote

thisnameistaken Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Since when did PBS accept commercial sponsorship? The Pepsi Cola Company??!?! Paul Simon doing If It's Magic is a bit special. Quote
The Funk Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Esperanza Spalding!!! I'm in LOVE!!! (Stevie and Big Nate are fantastic obviously. Extremely disappointed in The Funky President for fighting the funk so hard and trying too hard to look dignified and presidential.) Quote
Josh Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Esperanza's version of Overjoyed destroys Wootens. Amazing performance all around. Quote
NJE Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 I just keep watching this over and over, that man is...well, words dont do him justice. Esperanza is amaing too what a talent and the way she handles that double bass... STUNNING! I would just also like to say that as there is such a good response to the video I just found out that Stevie's show at the 02 arena is available soon on DVD. I am not on comission or anything, just really excited as this is I think the first live concert of his available on DVD. Quote
