They're pretty good (better than rotos!), i'd gig them if i was short on cash. I had a set on my Squier for a bit and while they were never overly bright to begin with they didn't deteriorate as quickly as some other strings i've used. Quote

Bassassin Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I always justify my pointless & costly annual excursion to Music Live at the NEC by buying a stack of £3 Rosetti bass stings & £1 g*it*r strings. No complaints whatsoever about the quality of either - the bass strings last well & are a damn sight better than Rotosounds. J. Quote
lemmywinks Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I've just received the Hartke strings today, 2 sets for £20 delivered. The seller sent me some free sweets too! Quote
warwickhunt Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Just bought 4 lots of x3 packs Hartke strings off this guy and he combined the postage, sending the whole lot for the cost of one sale... Put another way £4 for a full set of strings INC POSTAGE! No brainer really and he has more for sale ending soon. Quote

It works out cheaper in multiples and you could always share the costs with other local bassists (cue 'local' quotes ). Quote

Never tried Hartkes, so basically a toe in the water. I'll maybe try some others and start a cheapo string Wiki... and again, ta for the heads-up Edited April 25, 2009 by skankdelvar Quote
