Lew-Bass Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Anyone know if it's any good? The pickups don't seem great, but seeming though my budget is near enough £300 and without doing too much digging I've found it for £210, if I was able to get it and a very good pickup aswell would it be a good bass or is there better out there for my price range? Machines Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I think there's a lot better for the price. What music are you playing ? Quote

RayFW Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Buy something second hand. You'll get something much better for your £300 that way. If you'd rather not buy secondhand (or are finding it hard because you're a lefty) , you'd do a lot worse than this for the money: http://www.dv247.com/invt/40759/ or this (matching headstock version of above): http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product.asp?id=1615 Edited March 2, 2009 by RayFW Quote
Geek99 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I have the est95 active and its nice to play - probably better out there for the money tho Quote
joe_bass Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Don't see the point in spending that much on a Vintage bass. Go 2nd hand as suggested, perhaps an Ibanez? A lot of bang for your buck. Or one of those new Squiers. Quote
Hamster Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 You might pick up a Musicman Sub4 for £300 - fantastic basses. Quote
