"I have here a Jim Deacon Bass Guitar,

it is in mint condition, and is only a few months old,

my reason for sale is i just got a new one for my birthday"

So he's bought a new one to replace the mint condition one that is only a few months old? Unless he's just worded it badly & means he's bought another bass. :)

+1
I suggested he'd maybe meant £20 :)

or maybe the stickers are worth £100?

I was just going to post this, but thought someone must've spotted it.

It's not April 1st yet is it?

I bought one for around £275 a few years back and sold it for about the same.

The guy is from my neck of the woods but I can't say I know him but then again I wouldn't if he lives up in cloud cuckoo land. :)

Oddly enough I remember when these were first out a place up here (Grotts Guitars... anyone local remember) got a batch of these exact basses as 'Seconds' (various bits missing, dodgy finishes etc) from the distributor; it may have been JohnHornbySkewes and IIRC it was something to do with a warehouse fire (or they fell off the back of a wagon :D ). I'm not saying that this is one of those basses and even if it was it could well have been sorted for very little money. Still... a grand!

..mind you, as he quite rightly points out, headlesses rarely go out of tune. Keep it 20 years and it'll pay for itself in the time you save tuning up every time you get it out of the bag. :)
