Jesso
Sorry for the thread hijack, but heres a nerdy question. In those lovely photos I notice that the holes where the ashtrays would go are devoid of screws. Is there some reason people don't just leave the screws in the holes when they take the ashtrays off for safekeeping? Surely the screws would look better than just empty holes? Clarky
I agree its a bit eye-watering to see this sort of thing go on - that said, the dealer hasn't sold the bass, only advertised it for an ambitious price. May still be for sale in weeks/months ....

warwickhunt
Playing 'Devil's Advocate' here but it has to be said that had that guy not bid on it and won at £1200, then c_p would have gotten even less for his bass! At the end of the day c-p got the market value for his bass. ... and why block a bidder who may well bump up the final sale price of your item? Just sayin. molan
I asked him some questions about it - he wasn't very friendly TBH. If he responds to everyone like that it won't help him sell it.
Platypus
Can't understand why people get upset by this transaction. eBay is a marketplace pure and simple, not some kind of club. The guy saw what he felt was a bargain, put his money down and hopes to make a profit on the sale (less about 10% for fees) This is what many people do on the 'Bay Is it any different to you taking you bass to a bass retailer selling it to them and they putting it in the window at at a good markup or selling your car to a main dealer, for that matter? When people buy on Basschat any then attempt to turn a quick profit, here or elsewhere, thats a very different thing, in my view
