New Ibanez basses

anyone seen these yet, i normally overlook ibanez as they don't make many lefties, but these caught my eye

They're fantastic looking basses - can't wait to see one in the erm, grain ?

Any idea on price ?

Not sure cannot find any UK listings for them, though they seem to be LTD editions, the US RRP price is $999

Ibanez have made some similar basses in japan, sort of custom shop jobs, which by all accounts are first rate.

they are surprisingly pretty...methinks I need to try one of those.

Ibanez kit should never be overlooked, or dissmissed out of hand........

These are no exception, Very pretty!

they look like a prestige version of the SR range, yes they already do a prestige SR but these ones have what looks like the Bartolini MK1 pups and active electrics same as is on the standard mahogany SR's, so these will sound great and i'm sure those exotic woods will just add too the sound, very nice indeed, i'll just have to pretend my SR is one of them.

I'm not sure i like them much, i prefer a simple bass.

I was goign to post about these. I think they are really nice and as I have been looking for a fretted version of my GWB35, this is as near as I think I can get! Would prefer the 5 in teh amber, but if my finances get sorted and I can sell my TRB6, I'll be getting the 5 and chucking a ramp on it. Nice.

But isn't there only a few hundred being made and only for the US market? But with exchange rate as it is, thats not a bad bass for £650 as soon as you have imported it.

I really like the tone here and the finish of the bass. It seems to lack depth on the low end though.


is this the £1800 version?
