I always wanted a Trace in the 80s, it's great to be able to have one.

It is a great little amp, a bit weighty I grant you, but I've lifted worse. Needs a good clean externally, only problem is a hint of fuzzy distortion for a couple of minutes then settles down,  I'll have to get that looked at, but overall quite chuffed.

Could be a capacitor in the power supply. Have look for any bulging at the top of the cap...

I've had all of mine serviced by my local Amp Tech, Mal Crawley. Normally costs around £80 but they come back clean and sound like a new amp.

Money well spent in my eyes..
