LowMoFo
Hi all, I’m struggling to find an angle grinding disc for wood, with a 22mm arbor, max diameter 115mm. I’ve been all over Amazon, eBay and Screwfix, all without success. The only ones I’ve seen either have a 16mm arbor bore, or if 22mm, they’re for steel or stone. Am I looking in all the wrong places, or missing something obvious? Cheers guys
Reggaebass
Is this one https://www.toolpak.co.uk/angle-grinder-saw-disc/115mm-x-22mm-x-4t-angle-grinder-saw-disc.html
Beno
Not sure what you're doing but my advice would be to get a flap disc/s. 22mm bore is standard for a 115mm diameter disc. They are less aggressive than a solid grinding disc and flap discs are very easy to get. https://www.google.ie/search?q=flap+disc+for+wood&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj_mOnU5LHpAhWTQxUIHdRUCEEQ_AUoAXoECA4QAw&biw=1366&bih=
Matt P
There are 2 different ways to attach to an angle grinder, one is the plain 22mm bore and the other is a 16mm thread that goes in place of the locking nut, usually used for wire brush attachments, https://www.toolstation.com/abracs-twist-knot-wheel-brush/p67421?store=RP&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2PP1BRCiARIsAEqv-pSHXBJ2ZAGmxp7BhVOD6lM8RXk39L_tjJkDi9lCuovJrL8GedqYLEsaAmBCEALw_wcB I'd imagine that the ones you are looking at are the screw on type as I have never seen an angle grinder with a 16mm plain bore.
