Player series Jazz bass v Squire 70 s vibe upgrade?

Hi 

I currently have a 70s Vibe Squire Jazz which is good .......however I have been looking at the new Player series Jazz bass. Is the Player Series Jazz bass a significant improvement on the70 s vibe, the price of the Player series is double (new price comparisons) which would suggest it is? Unfortunately the USA ones are out of my budget of £600/650

I think I'd suggest asking yourself just what it is that you don't like about your current instrument, then look at any affordable instrument that you do like enough to make the change, if you can find one. That's all.
