That headstock is kinda post-pointy, isn't it? Quite acceptable if the bass is good.

To be honest though I’m so completely and utterly conditioned to expect to see a Fender headstock with a P bass I always think anything else looks weird. Not so with J basses for some reason. Just the P bass.

Same! Even though there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I guess it helps that it's black, it gives the bass a slightly more modern appeal.

[Baloney Balderdash]

The bass is a bit boring, look like a standard P pass pretty much, and I have slight aversion for tortoise pickguards, but I wouldn't call it ugly by any means.

I also prefer headstocks with the tuners balanced on each side, instead of in a long row, but other than that I actually think it looks truly beautiful, maybe it's a bit odd for exactly that kind of bass, but at least in it self it look great, whereas the rest of the bass just kind of looks mediocre.

The Fender P bass has the ugliest headstock in the world. (YMMV)

I'd take that over a Fender any day. Although sadly it still has the bland Fender style body.
