will4bass
Somehow my trussrod puller got lost and now I can’t seem to find any shop that sslls these. Fodera has them in a toolkit for $30 but shipping costs another $55 which doesn’t fit in my head: transportation almost twice as expensive as the toolkit... so... looking for a place in Europe to buy one... any suggestion is appreciated! ped
Tbh that’s not a bad price for an official one (no idea if you need a special fodera one or not though). Any European supplier will probably change more for the item to factor in the import anyway.
verb
What does the tool look like and how does it work? Just wondered if something else would do the job.
will4bass
It’s the light grey metal tool in the middle. A very simple tool that doesn’t seem to be created for Fodera exclusively but I can’t find it anywhere.
itu
If there is a thread in the other end, this could be done by any machine shop that has few tools. Looks very simple. Production time, maybe one hour depending on the surface quality and if the thread is not exotic. Two metal parts cut to measure, two holes, thread, polishing... what else?
songofthewind
I assume the grey object is an internally threaded tube. Is it possible to obtain threaded tube local to you?
Hellzero
According to the video, it looks like it's only a screwdriver with the exact same thread as your nut. Go to a decent tools seller with your nut and find a long threaded tube with the same thread, or find a replacement nut and solder a tube on it. That will do the job perfectly.
will4bass
It's a tube with thread inside indeed. However... I would expect to find something like that online and I didn't.
