Ladders
It's been years since I've picked up my bass but, with the current state of the world, I reckon now's as good a time as any to get back into it... ...just as soon as I can get it out of storage. I'm not worried about having forgotten too much, because I never really progressed any further than a beginner. I could try and blame my stubby sausage-like fingers, but the truth it was me being too lazy put in much time practising, and frankly having a completely useless teacher. So, hi everyone! SpondonBassed
Welcome Ladders. Mike Oldfield had stubby fingers if I recall. He played a whole suite of instruments.
Ladders
Thanks. For a while I considered getting a short-scale, but seeing videos of unreasonably tiny people having no trouble playing long-scale basses slung low with virtually no stretching of their fingers just by moving their hands a bit more made me realise just how hollow that excuse was.
