Hot Tub Posted March 7, 2009 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Just been to see V8 at the Heathcote Inn in Whitnash, Leamington Spa. They were rather good! Singer/frontman chappy reminds me of Buster Bloodvessel. Good rock covers 4-piece outfit. Lead guitarist was outstanding and looked about 12. Bassist was using a Fender Precision into an SVT-2 Pro, Classic 4x10 and 1x15 and a Fender combo thingy. Thought his sound could've been a tad higher in the mix, and was a touch too "throaty" for my preference. Needed a wee bit more low end. Good mix of music from Metallica, classic Purple, Judas Priest, Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, etc. and good humourous interaction with the punters. Would definitely go see them again.
