niceguyhomer Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I woke up to some decent light this morning so I whipped it out and snapped a few of my gleesome threesome. Spector Euro LX5 / ACG02 preamp Spector Rebop 5FM DLX Pimptastic Mexican P A shaky one of the Euro but it's the only one I've got that shows the flame off accurately Do I make you horny baby...do I? Finally my rig... Quote
GreeneKing Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Very nice Alan, Waiting for the sun to make an appearance here so I can photo 7 basses. I think it may be artificial light again Peter Quote
Machines Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 That Euro is fantastic. There's something about a red stain on highly figured maple.. Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks Matt - it'll look even better when I put black hardware on it Quote

MythSte Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Have you been in what used to be sound control in preston recently Al? Theyve got some cracking basses in there, a load od sandbergs and a beautifull 70's RI Jazz that i very almost put money down for. I had to run out the shop! Lovely Lot youve got there! Quote
7string Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Great pics Can't go wrong with a bit of trans red. I take it the ACG pre has made a difference. Quote

I don't know if I'll keep it cos it's fairly heavy and I have a shoulder problem that won't go away Quote
steve-soar Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009
Thanks Matt - it'll look even better when I put black hardware on it
Oh no you don't, it looks the beaulex with gold. Quote
Machines Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Agreed, that gold bridge is seriously snazzy. Gold knobs would be too much though.. Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Love that flamed maple, red stain Euro! Stunning Is that the one you installed the ACG pre into? Rich. Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks Jon - wish I'd moved the bloody plant first though Quote

7string Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 If your shoulders still giving you jip, have you tried a Comfort Strapp (with 2 p's). Definitely helps with the weight thing, I can actually play my Conklin standing up. Quote

cetera Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Beautiful bass choices Al! And the same goes for the rig..... I'd love to hear that GBE750.... Quote
Tait Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 i love that precision, its about the only bass with gold hardware i do like mind, but even so, its so... i cant think of a word for what i mean, but its really cool.. Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks a lot for the kind comments fellas. Just ordered a brushed gold pickguard for that P from WD - website says it'll be 1-2 weeks and the email confirmation I got says it'll be four weeks but could be longer. I could swim to the US and pick one up quicker. Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 May well end up doing that spree but the last two I got from Jeannie's ended up being quite expensive in the end. Quote
Soulfinger Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) Lovely P there - good move! Re. pickguard: Is it the gold anodized thingy you want? Thomann has them in stock: http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_pckg57p.htm Edited March 12, 2009 by Soulfinger Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Thanks for that but that looks like a 10 hole jobby wheras mine has 13 holes - I expect they won't align properly. Quote
