Faithless
So, one chap is selling his Warwick Rockbass 5... Says, it is in good condition, new set of strings, and so on.. Here's photo's: http://mainyk.lt/?pageid=20&id=296808 (choose one of those 'little' photos, and the click on the chosen, but 'bigger' one - you'll get the full size of photo) I'm not sure about the exact model - is this Rockbass Streamer, Corvette, or what? And, secondly, he wants about 350 pounds for it - something tells me, it's waaay overpriced.. Any help will be appreciated, Cheers, Faith.. Dubs
It’s this - http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_rockbass_..._standard_5.htm - A Rockbass Streamer Std 5. The price of these has gone up slightly recently to what you see on the Thomann site. £350 is crazy seen as it’s £65 more than what you could buy it for from Thomann. Realistically, a good price for one of these is between £150 and £200. If I were you I wouldn’t bother with that guy. These come up on eBay quite a lot and there have been a few at good prices on the forum as well. I definitely wouldn't pay more than £200 for a used one of these. Faithless
I suppose it's passive bass? Well, I'll talk about the price with him, and maybe he'll want to swap it for my Ibby GSR 5 + a bit of money or stuff.. I've never had Warwick before, only played one RockBass and Dolphin in shop - impressions were good, esp with Dolphin, but hey, it's damn expensive anyway.. But I want to try it, as I'm not happy with my Ibbies action and stuff.. The only thing that would draw me from that Warwie would be spacing, bigger than 16.5, ok, 17mm's.. neepheid
Yup, overpriced. It varies with the model (and varies pretty wildly on evilBay too) but I'd concur with the assessment of £150-£200 depending on condition, whether it comes with a gigbag or not etc.
Dan_Nailed
From personal experience, this isn't even worth £200. I sold a mint, as in NEW, 5 string Rockbass Corvette active for a buddy recently. Corvettes are more expensive than Streamers, and mine was active, placing it about 3rd from the top of the product line, with Streamer passives being lowest. The Corvette sold for £200 dead on Ebay after a distinct lack of interest, and it was a new bass, AND it had a Gator hardcase. I wouldn't pay more than £160 WITH some form of case.
