Ernie Ball Stingray SUB 5 - Naturally Roadworn....see the photographs.

As you'll most likely know this "is" a USA Stingray.
These USA basses were made alongside the full blown Stingrays in the USA Ernie Ball factory in San Louis Obispo.
Reputedly Ernie Ball stopped making these as they were too good for the money / EB were loosing money on each one they sold and also cannibalising the sales of full blown Stingrays! 

These basses are essentially what later became the classic stingray, minus some of the fancy woods and finishes. (Slab body, Stingryay 4 style pickguard, 2 band eq, vintage style neck plate, ...)  

The bass plays brilliantly - certainly a players bass, its well set up and has all the usual Stingray tones and punch.  The usual USA Musicman quality, classic Stingray sounds.  

Note there are plenty of areas of wear on the body and wear to the neck and headstock as shown in the photographs. These consist of:
 - numerous dings/dents etc on the body of the bass
 - wear around the edges of the headstock
 - wear on the neck, this is where the finish has worn off then neck, but note one chip on the bottom side back of the neck, to be clear  - there is a small amount of wood missing.
 - tab on the battery cover is missing, still open fine with thumbnail, small screwdriver etc
- the G string tuner ear is a little bent but still functions fine.  
- a couple  of the tuner ears were a slightly loose in the slot of the tuning peg, I dropped a spot of superglue into these to secure them better.

Weight is 4.479kg, which is a tad under 10lbs.
