Some advice/help please, I’m taking part in ‘distance recording’ later this week, but I’ve been told the acoustic piano being used is very slightly flat, “30 cent”.  I need therefore to detune my bass accordingly.

My tuner has a pitch button, normally it’s set at 440 (440 what I have no idea!!), and it can be adjusted in the range 435 to 445.  Is this how I retune, and if so, to what pitch?  Or if not????

Thanks in advance

440 refers to standard 440hz tuning. You should never need to adjust that unless playing with musicians who use a strange base setting (possibly used on the continent but I could be wrong).
