Twigman
I have a Squier JV P-bass. The scratchplate is warped ( too much stuffing a plectrum behind it during gigs).... It is tortoiseshell ( I think it's 4 ply) and I was looking at this: http://www.allparts.uk.com/precision-bass-....html?p=product It has the correct number of holes (13) but will they be in exactly the same place? My current plate doesn't have a truss rod notch but this one does.... £46 seems a lot to sink without knowing for definite that it will fit. How could I know? Try emailing WD, I usually go through them for a scratchplate and they're very helpful.

Subtle but different shape, and none of the screw holes will line up. Don't waste your money trying out for yourself, go find a luthier with the scratchplate and he'll stencil a template and get a new one made! It was a while back. but I think I paid about £40, for the guitar tech at what used to be Sound Control in Bristol, to do mine. Hope that helps!
