Hi All

Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere else on BC but did anyone hear Colin Murray's Mid Week Mobile Disco last Wednesday (4th March)? It's a feature where he plays an hour of tunes with a common link. This week it was featuring tunes with decent bass lines

Sorry it's a bit late but you can hear it for another 12 hours or so at this link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wkx3

If you don't get to listen, here is the track listing:

23.00
Midweek Mobile Disco - Bass Lines
George Baker Selection - 'Little Green Bag' (MCA)
Andy C and Shimon - 'Body Rock' (Ram)
The Strokes - 'Juicebox' (Rough Trade)
Coal Chamber - 'Loco' (Roadrunner)
Paul Simon - 'You Can Call Me Al' (Warner)
Radiohead - 'The National Anthem' (Parlophone)
Metallica - 'Anaesthetist (Pulling Teeth)' (Vertigo)
Queen and David Bowie - 'Under Pressure' (EMI)
Bomb The Bass - 'Bug Powder Dust' (Fourth and Broadway)
The Pixies - 'Gigantic' (4AD)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - 'Give It Away' (Warner)
Dead Prez - 'Hip Hop' (Loud)
Fleetwood Mac - 'The Chain' (Warner)
Rage Against The Machine - 'Take The Power Back' (Epic)

I'm sure we all have some comments to make :)

I'll start the ball rolling by suggesting the list is nowhere near complete without these:

Muse - Hysteria
Yes - Roundabout

Rhythm Stick or something by The Jam really should have been in there if they are going for identifyable bass parts but also well known overrall songs. Also should have had a Motown song (River Deep prob obvious choice) for some Jamerson thump.
