Fender Jazz Bass Plus '91 SOLD

Up for sale goes quite rare Fender Jazz Bass Plus, made in USA in 1991. AFAIK Plus series is considered to be a predecessor of the Deluxe series.

It sports downsized alder body in a beautiful blue-burst finish, maple neck with dark rosewood fretboard, Lace Sensor pickups and unique Philip Kubicki preamp with passive mode.

It carries small amount of mojo from normal use and is in good overall condition. Neck is straight with truss rod working as it should, frets show little signs of use. Note that there is a small chip in a fretboard resulting from nut replacement in the past. I'm sure it can be easily filled by skillful person.

It comes with its original HSC which is pretty beat-up but still provides relevant protection.

Sending to Europe possible, ask me for cost estimate.

Is it my eyesight at fault or is the headstock slightly smaller than normal ?

Headstock is fine, they were a bit slimmer on these (and some of the other early 90's models).

No - sorry. Wasn’t suggesting it was fake or anything, it just looked a bit slender compared to normal

I have a 5 string version, exactly the same.....great bases. Kubicki had the neck and electronics sorted. He was only with Fender for a few years, but these basses seem to be sought after these days. Proper USA fender.

@Geek99 headstocks on these are also downsized, just like on P Bass Plus, Prodigy, Urge I and II,  so-called Cowpoke and probably other models from the 90's

@songofthewind nut is 38 mm, weight is 3,9 kg / 8,6 lb
