Desktopstu
I am 50 this year. I found an old Bass guitar in the loft and took it to a guitar repair specialist, turns out its not a viable repair (its a 1970's Hondo 2) but this got me the bug and I have now bought a Bass (Squier) and learning via tabs. Never even held a guitar before so full on newbie. Will I have the patience to learn? only time will tell.

stewblack
Good for you Stu, you have chosen the perfect instrument. Lots of great online lessons for beginners, tons of books too. But Basschatters will always be happy to help you out.
