BassAgent Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 So I've been a fan of the basses by Dutch luthier André van der End for about 20 years now, and have never owned one. And then this baby and I crossed paths... She's from 2000, electronics as of yet unknown (I think the pickups have been made by André himself), amazingly pretty body. It needs some new strings and a good setup, but boy is she amazing. Also makes a pretty good pair with her 13 years younger cousin from De Gier: So that makes bass number 10 for me. I'll post a new family photo tomorrow😁 3 Quote
lowbelow Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Awesome! Your bass must be in some ways similar to mine then. I have a '99 vd End. With indeed the pickups made by him himself. I've seen him a few times during the years and after a while he starting proposing putting in some other type pickup, but I 've never done that because I just love my bass the way it is now. Congratz man, and she is beautiful... I like the blue with the wood patterns still showing! I spuppose you have volume1, volume2, high filter, low where the low only happens if set to active with the switch... is that correct ? Quote
