Golchen
Any thoughts on these two skyline basses? I'm not in a position to try out either, but I like the look of them both. There's a JO5 for sale on the forum here, and I've also found a 55-02 for about £150 more. My usual procrastination means that they will probably both get sold before I make any decisions!! chris_b
Just get the JO5, so that I don't have to keep looking at it!

niceguyhomer
I've had 2 Jo5s and a 55-01 - I'd buy the Jo.
velvetkevorkian
Not played the 55-02 but the JO5 I tried at Guitar Guitar was one of the best 5 strings I've played.
Josh
If you want a solid workingmans 5 string Jazz, get the JO. Or... If you want a solid workingmans 5 string Jazz/MM/Precision hybrid, get the 55-02.
Thunderthumbs
I owned a JO5 and it was a fantastic sounding 5 string Jazz, simple as that. I only got rid as I got a Musicman Stingray as part of a swap which suits my current needs more, and I already had another 5 string. Plus, if you're on about the sunburst one, that looks lovely......go for it.
Hamster
I've played both - and they're both excellent basses. I agree with Josh - decide what will you use it for and choose wisely, then say screw it and buy both!

Depends what you're after really .
Golchen
Thanks for the input all. I don't really know what I'm after, but I guess I like the idea of a jazz type bass as it's a bit further away from my current Status.
