la bam
Hi all, I'm trying to re seat the bulb for the vu meter in my ashdown ctm 300. Does anyone know how to get to it, or remove the sleeve etc so I can access it? Thanks.
AndyTravis
I’m sure @Ashdown Engineering could advise? if not ask @walshy as he has shares in the company these days 😉
AndyTravis
Can you not take that panel off and reach from there? Havent got a CTM300 handy, so I’m not sure what’s be in your way...
la bam
Cheers Andy, I cant see how to remove that panel. Theres no screws or anything to remove it from what i can see?
la bam
It looks like its bolted from underneath including the feet screws. Although then I'm still not sure how youd access the vu bulb area.

I’m sure Lee or Mark could advise x
BassBunny
Having seen a picture of a load of new CTM chassis ready for sleeves on Ashdowns FB page, it looks like the front panel is attached to the chassis and the whole lot slides into the wooden sleeve. If the only screws/bolts you can see are the ones attaching the feet, I assume unscrewing them will allow the chassis to slide out revealing the back of the vu meter. BassmanPaul
Be careful what you do in there. It's all too easy to screw something up leading to an expensive repair.
la bam
Yeh, I didnt bother in the end. It doesnt bother me enough, it's only a light. It's up for sale now, just would have been nice to have it working, but not worth a 12 hour round trip for a £1 bulb.
