ryanwoods1998 Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Has anyone found any tuners which are a good replacement for the Squier Classic Vibe 60's P Bass? This is for the newer sunburst/white models made in Indonesia, not the Chinese Crafted older Fiesta Red Models. Thinking along the lines of Schaller or Hipshot... Quote
Aidan63 Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 (edited) Hipshot HB7s aren't exactly the same screw holes as the Squier tuners, they look the same as the MIM tuners but they aren't, close but not close enough so you have to fill the holes with cocktail sticks and wood glue and then the HB7s fit fine once you predrill new holes, and the change is invisible, but if you want to revert to Squier tuners say when selling you'll have to do the same again Edited July 3, 2020 by Aidan63 added word for clarity Quote
Waddycall Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 I bought a set of hipshot HB7s for my fretless neck. I’m actually quite disappointed with them. The action isn’t very smooth and one of them rattles. I wouldn’t buy them again. Quote
