Fenderbird

I've got a hankering to make a Fenderbird, has anyone used an epiphone thunderbird as a doner body, any pitfalls? Looking at the epiphone it has a couple of extra frets, so presumably one would have to move the bridge back a bit if using a regular fender dimensioned neck.

Yep done one

the neck heel has to be shaved , but not the full depth  almost made into a T Shape.

the neck I had didn’t require me to deepen the neck pocket, but overlay a 34” scale neck and see how it fits in reference to the bridge - that will give you your answer
