paul h
Anybody have any experience of the Tony Franklin fretted bass? I like the idea of the 3 way pickup switch but haven't been able to find any video or audio of the fretted version. P.

paul h
Errr....now you've got me. How about something to quell the GAS. Does it smell for instance? Or you could wax lyrical about it's awesomeness. Or you could tell you hate yours and you will sell it to me for 50p. See what happens when I venture outside the Off Topic forum? P. It's a great bass with very nicely voiced pickups - the selector switch setup is great and the drop d tuner is quality (unlike recent hipshots I've used). The middle position sounds best to my ears with a P bass sound but less boomy and more defined....yumm. I'm probably going to sell mine pretty soon by the way - just trying to weigh up if I keep the P bass or the Tony. Edit: oh yea, and for some sound clips check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsVLOJDX-fM J Edited March 12, 2009 by Legion

I'm loving the sadowsky I've just bought though and need to weigh up which of the P's to keep which is turning out to be a bit tougher than I thought. No denying a great fretless tone, but I would definitely go for fretted. I just can't seem to find any sound samples for one. P.
