calumpiercy Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Squire Classic Vibe Precision Bass (Indonesia) or Vintage V4? Which is the better Bass? Quote
hooky_lowdown Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 They're about the same, having owned both. The V4 reissued has better hardware, and you can pick up a used V4 far cheaper then the Squier. 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 The only real difference I’ve found is the V4 has a chunkier neck, or at least the Tony Butler V4 has. Quote
stewblack Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 On balance I prefer the V4. But there's not much in it. Quote

Love the black and maple Thanks They are very good indeed, a real surprise at how good they are in fact. I had mine as a backup to my US Precision and fully expected to have to swap pickups etc, but no, sounded great and played great too. Real good quality instruments. Quote

barrycreed Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 I notice the fretboard on my Vintage has started to fade. I can't recall what the fretboard material is on mine. It's not rosewood. Doesn't bother me, just an observation. I got mine earlier this year, so not sure if it's the weather, my sweat etc... A lovely stock guitar I have to say. Based on my experience with their guitars, I thought I would have had to do a few small upgrades, but I'd happily gig it stock. Quote
