Having a bit of turmoil and not sure what's best. I got this fine bass from our very own Rich last year as an introduction back to bass after a while off. It's a great bass but at the moment just not what I need. The band I'm in have got together about 25-30 songs and it's used once! Even then I'm forcing it in so it's a bit redundant. So I also got (from Crez5150) a nice SX Jazz5. Great bass again and needless to say the main one at the mo. So I'm thinking of outing the JD to finance or trade for another 5 string. The SX is good but now I'm back in the saddle I'm gassing for something of what I used to have.

The Jaydee was bought new by Rich in 1987 so I'm the 2nd owner. It's in great condition, a few very small marks but hey it's over twenty years old. Rich used roundwounds and the same for me so a few little marks on the board but no wear. It's got an EMG pickup and 2 band stack eq with a Hollis pre-amp and an active/passive switch. I've got the original stripey p/u that Rich passed on to me which doesn't work but may be fixable if needs be.
So what am I looking for tradewise....well it MUST be active/fretted and 5 string. In the past I've been a Musicman Stingray/Warwick Fortress/Streamer/Status player. Not sure the JD is worth enough for one of these but hey, someone might like a change. I also like the G&L 2500 and after hearing Eric Czar with Joe Bonamassa the Ibanez ATK305 is a consideration.
So cash wise I would just like my money back which is I think a very reasonable £400.
Would definitely prefer collection/delivery from/to Surrey or nearby-ish! Would travel a bit for the right trade.
Pics below, not great quality.

As soon as I saw the pic I thought "that looks like Rich's bass" :)

I remember Rich posting a pic of this bass on the Level42WebDigest years ago - gorgeous bass. And surely a steal at this price!

Sad eh?

A flying visit from the Doctor has resulted in him taking away the Jaydee and leaving me a Status Series 1 five string, 3 sheeps, 1 camel,a Llama and a Brazilian ladyboy to follow!
Good to see ya Nick, lets make it a bit longer next time.
Thanks for all the interest, kind words and bumpage

Cheers
