bassist_lewis
Hi uprights, I've put new nylon strings onto my double bass recently and I'm finding intonation a lot more difficult than when I had steels strings. Now I haven't played very much in the last year for various reasons, so it could very well be my technique has fallen behind a bit, but can intonation be different on different sets of strings? thanks
TheRev
Steel strings generally have a stronger fundamental and note definition than nylon, so it's probably more that you can't hear the note as clearly as you used to.

Thanks! I'll maybe look at my technique as well though!
