Skateborg23
dodgnofski I have a problem with the Eden WTX264 fan blowing noise into my recording mics, which makes the amp unusable for recording in my home studio. Have you left that fan disconnected? and if so, have you had any overheating issues using the amp at home thus far? Cheers from San Francisco, CA! Zippy114
Hi there - I opened the case and see that the power supply and Class D power amp board are an 'off the shelf" B&O design "ICEpower 200ASC". Wading through some of the documentation on this board boasts "Quiet running fanless operation". It is also a popular board to use in subwoofers and enclosures that do not have a fan. The board also has thermal protection circuits (that's what the red "protect" LED on the front is about). Note this is the power supply / power amp board only - not the Eden preamp & control boards - though the Eden boards appear to be out of the air circulation path. I am NOT going to say to disconnect the fan - but based on this you may want to do your own research and make your own conclusions taking into consideration how hard you are driving the amp.
