Reggaebass Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 I’ve watched lots of videos on the olinto flats as I was looking for some and the P basses look really great, but you don’t see them for sale very often, is it the price do you think or the availability Quote

Reggaebass Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Out of curiosity I enquired about these, they certainly make some lovely basses, especially the precisions , unfortunately their P basses only come with a 44.45mm vintage nut , which is a little wider than I prefer, and they are $4400.00 , here’s a few I like 1 Quote
LeftyJ Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Dear lord, the fingerboard on that sunburst one is gorgeous! What is that wood? 1 Quote

Still wouldn't pay that much for it, particularly with a 44.45mm nut, but that's stunning! Just now, LeftyJ said: Dear lord, the fingerboard on that sunburst one is gorgeous! What is that wood? Reggaebass Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 I couldn’t find exactly what wood was used on the fretboard, it’s on their custom gallery, I think there’s something about it on facebook but I don’t have it Quote
BassAgent Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 It reminds me of some slabs of macassar ebony I've seen. And it's killer! 1 Quote
Misdee Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 I'm sure these are top quality basses but I don't think I could live with that headstock shape. 1 Quote

I know what you’re saying, but I don’t think they look that bad , I quite like the moollon precision’s but really can’t do that headstock 1 Quote

OliverBlackman Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 If I was to go for one it’d have to be a clean finish. The wear doesn’t look well done IMO. Quite a different bass but if I had that money for a Fender copy I’d be looking at Alleva coppolo despite the headstock haters. 1 Quote
