gekkko Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Anyone know of a Fender Colour Chart going back to around 2000? There was someone preparing a database with photos - but the link is locked up inaccessible. Thanks! Quote
ikay Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Have you already seen this one? https://support.fender.com/hc/en-us/articles/214034783-Instrument-Finish-Color-Chart Quote

gekkko Posted July 22, 2020 Author Posted July 22, 2020 Hi - thanks, yes, but that is current colours - anyone know where "something a bit like Dolphin Grey" satin would fit in for a single chip repair? It's in a place where it's likely to get knocked again so want to have a go. Quote
Reggaebass Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Just a suggestion gekkko, have you tried nail polishes, I used a candy apple red on some chips on my P bass , and it matched quite well Quote
ikay Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Here's a link to Fender catalogues going back to 2004 plus some earlier vintage ones. Might be a worth a look. https://guitar-compare.com/catalogs/fender-catalogs/ Reggaebass's suggestion of nail polish is a good one, I've used that for small dings before and there's a massive range of colours out there to play around with. 1 Quote

I need a CAR touch up! thanks I’ve just tried to find the order, but I’m sure it was a mabelline candy apple , because my P has dulled a bit, it’s 22 years old, 1 Quote

Yes you could even use some to touch in dings in your paint 🧐 Quote
