Harryb0201 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Hello, I am thinking about upgrading my amp in a few months. My budget is around 350 and I am probably looking for a decent second hand amp, does anyone have any suggestions ? Quote
Rexel Matador Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Hi! Do you need a combo or just a head? What kind of power/size are you looking for? What sort of gigs is it going to need to handle? Quote

I'm currently using an 80s peavey 75 watt bass amp which is very heavy. Quote
BassApprentice Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 In these circumstances the answer will always include the Fender Rumble until somebody else makes something better and lighter 😁 1 Quote
Rexel Matador Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 I agree with the above. Fender Rumble amps are great. You can get them in pretty much any size, they sound great and weigh nothing. Quote
jrixn1 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 (edited) Yep, look out for a Fender Rumble 500 combo. In fact, here's one: https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/quick-sale-fender-rumble-v3-500-/1379640576 £360, and he even says he will drive up to one hour from Newmarket. (NB I don't know the seller... do your own checks of course) Edited July 27, 2020 by jrixn1 Quote

Bobthedog Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Harry, at risk of coming across as a salesman: this is a superb option that should not be overlooked and fits your requirements. I cannot do much on price but will deliver at no cost if you are in Bedfordshire. Quote

Hello thank you very much for the offer and the amp looks like what I'm looking for but I will need to wait for my gear to sell or wait a few months and I will have the money. If your amp is still available when I have the cash I will get In touch 1 Quote
