Thanks everyone for your help and insight with this ... And it seems I'm not alone in this endeavour. 

I have decided to buy a 2nd hand Ashdown ABM head and give it a go with my 210 barefaced ... I'm keeping the Berg Forte as well (for now anyway) as I'm also going to try a few things to spice up the front end and see what happens. I will keep to up to date once I get it 🙂
