Ari247 Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 im about to order a new sandberg bass and i need your help choosing the design because i just cant decide from the two of them! Quote
Cuzzie Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Remember if you want different pick ups from the Delano - or potentially pre-amp it’s not on the configurator-but you can email and sort it once you have your configured code saved 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hi and welcome Ari, wenge has such a lovely grain but the blue is nice , I’m gonna go wenge 🙂 1 Quote

hooky_lowdown Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Well, as there's only two, flip a coin. 😉 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 (edited) wenge for me... no guard... more wood... Edited August 9, 2020 by PaulThePlug 1 Quote
Bassassin Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Both stunners but I'd be all over the blue, love a transparent colour stain. Quote
TheGreek Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 If weight is likely to be an issue you might want to check how much the Wenge is likely to weigh. Quote
Oopsdabassist Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Love the look of the Blue I have to say, voted! Quote
DarkHeart Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Wenge, no guard lots of lovely grain on show. Quote
ezbass Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Blue for me, looks all business and workmanlike. Quote
robertg43 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Blue but then again neither really do it for me Quote
adamg67 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I've got a "blue burst" bass, not exactly like that one but close and IMO it really works as a colour combo. I'm not so into basses that look like nice furniture, strange really as I love nice looking wood grain, just not on guitars. Quote
Sven Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) Both are super cool looking but go different ways, wood top is going to the "Luthier" vibe whereas the blue one is "custom shop" vibe, not exactly the same ... I like both, but in terms of nice wood grain, Wengue is not my favorite, the Sandberg configurator offers Walnut or Macassar Ebony that are much prettier IMHO. But I will still vote for Wood Grain because in the long term, one may get bored by the blue tint ... Edited August 10, 2020 by Sven Quote
Delberthot Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Wenge feels really nice under the fingers. it's sort of rough but waxy and smooth at the same time if that makes any sense. I'm not a fan of blue with the grain showing unless is quilt maple, I'd rather have a solid blue poly finish 1 Quote
ahpook Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) I'd go for the wenge one...but with the scratchplate. Edited August 10, 2020 by ahpook Quote
