Romeo2
Not sure if this should maybe go in general discussion but hey, a fretless Musicman is supposedly the star fo the show here: oh, actually, there is a separate video devoted to the bass alone:
dannybuoy
Never heard of this guy, but I can't work out ihe's a comedy genius or just unintentionally funny!
NickA
Serious, but in a tongue in cheek kind of way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donny_Benét "anachronistic post disco" apparently; he envisions his album as the background music to a 1980s dinner party! not a bad bass player though
Beedster
According to Wikipedia, his father - who taught him his musical style - was an Italian Disco Accordionist. Read into that what you will, although having watched the above videos, it does perhaps explain a few things? Either way, he seems like a lovely guy and the sort of chap one could have a few very enjoyable beers with whilst talking music and life. Is it mean of me to suggest that he could do with some lines on the neck of that 'ray

What an absolute breath of fresh air he is compared to the YouTube norms when it comes to instruments and/or technique
bloke_zero
Like! And great studio - every piece of it a classic from the 70's or 80's - sadly I think I can name them all, though I've only played a couple.
Old Man Riva
John Taylor’s let himself go... (There should be more of this type of thing these days!) Edited August 12, 2020 by Old Man Riva
Romeo2
All right, while it's clear we just cannot stop loving the genius of Donny, let's refocus on why I posted this in the Bass Guitars section, for those who did not have the courage to explore Mr Experience's uploads. This next one features a Faux Steinberger, an octaver and some chorus. As a bonus, gratuitous amounts of charm from the Sophisticated `Lover himself: Edited August 13, 2020 by Romeo2

Musicman20
The Stingray sounds incredible as a fretless.
